Once uploaded as a supervisor on FindAPhD, you can be contacted by users visiting FindAPhD. However, you may not always want to be accessible. This guide will detail how to turn this feature off.
When uploaded as a supervisor in our FindAPhD system, and assigned to a project listing, your name will appear as clickable to our users:
Once clicked, our enquiry form will open so the user can send you an enquiry directly.
However, we understand you may not always want to be contacted on our platform. Therefore, to remove the hyperlink behind your title, simply carry out the following steps.
- Log into your dashboard for FindAPhD - view our login guide here.
- Once logged in, navigate to the top right and select the 'user' icon:
- This will open up your user settings. You can change your title here and amend your email address. You can also amend the setting to un-hyperlink your title on FindAPhD by un-ticking the field that reads 'I want to receive email enquiries directly for any projects I supervise'
- Hit the 'Update' button - your details will now be saved.
