Logging into your FindAPhD dashboard
How to log into your FindAPhD dashboard, and resetting your password
If you are one of our customers on FindAPhD, you will have access to your dashboard, an area where you can manage and upload your Project Listings. This article will detail all of the information you need to log into this area, and what to do if you forget your login details.
Logging in
Once you have activated your subscription with us, you should have received a link to the login page here.
For logging in, you will need the following details:
- Your email address for your account
- Your password for your account
If you cannot remember your password, please use the 'Forgot your password?' link to set up a new one. More info on resetting your password can be found below.
Please note: when you create an account with us for the first time, you will need to create a new password using the 'forget password' function.

Knowing your account types
It's important when logging into your dashboard, you are logging in as the correct account type, otherwise our system won't recognise your details.
We have several account levels for FindAPhD:
- Institution-wide users - these users have access to edit all the opportunities listed underneath your institution on FindAPhD. They also have more admin controls in their dashboard, such as editing other users, adding custom logos, or exporting leads.
- Administrators - these users have the same admin capabilities as Institution-wide account types, however, it may only be over a one or several departments, not the entire institution.
- Supervisors - supervisor accounts are instantly created when you are added as a lead supervisor on a Project Listing on FindAPhD. When created, you can log in and edit any listing that you are the supervisor of.
- Associates - associate accounts are instantly created when you are added as an associated supervisor on a Project Listing on FindAPhD. You can log in underneath the institution you are added to, but you cannot edit the project you are part of.
Please note: your login may also be tied to another institution on FindAPhD, if you have been set up underneath them, for example, for any collaborative opportunities you have running. If this is the case, you will be presented with an option to select which institution's dashboard you would like to access when logging in.
Resetting your password
If you have forgotten your password, you can create a new one quickly and easily using the 'Forgot your password?' function on the login screen.
On the next page, you will need to confirm the email address your account is under, so our system can check if you have that email associated with an account on FindAPhD:
Once your email address is entered, you can then click the 'Request Password' button.
Once you have received the email, you can reset your password and log in successfully.
