Can I make my research opportunity appear under a different institution?

Opportunities that are apart of a shared research network with other institutions can use our 'ghosting' feature, allowing you to list one opportunity under multiple universities on FindAPhD

If you have a research opportunity that is apart of a larger research network, such as the White Rose Doctoral Training Partnership, you can make sure it is evenly represented among all the partnership universities on FindAPhD, using our 'ghosting' feature.

To 'ghost' a Project Listing / Specialist Page, it must already be listed on FindAPhD under one an existing institution before it can be ghosted with others.

To ghost a research opportunity, you need to:

  1. List your opportunity on FindAPhD.

  2. Let your Account Manager know which institutions you would like the opportunity ghosted underneath.
  3. Our team will apply the list in our system.
  4. Once applied and live, our team will confirm the ghosted opportunities with you on FindAPhD.

What are the advantages of ghosting my research opportunity?

Other than being correctly represented from a brand perspective, ghosting ensures your research opportunity returns in relevant user searches. For example, a region-based search outside of your institution's location from one user might return your opportunity under one of partner universities.

If you have any questions about ghosting, please contact your Account Manager.
